Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 31 October 2026
These terms apply when you use grimdarkgames.co.uk and when you buy from us. Please read them before placing an order. Together with our Privacy Statement, Cookies Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds policy, they form the agreement between you and us. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. About us
This website is run by the trading entity known as GrimDarkGames (“we”, “us”, “our”), an independent shop for tabletop games, miniatures and hobby supplies based in Owston Ferry, Doncaster. You can contact us at info@grimdarkgames.co.uk.
2. Who can order
- Orders must be placed by an adult aged 18 or over.
- Online checkout is available for delivery addresses in the United Kingdom. For delivery outside the UK, please contact us first (see International shipping).
- Our products are sold for personal use. We may limit quantities of popular or limited-edition items so that more customers can buy them.
3. Our products
- We try to show every product accurately. Box art and product photos show painted, assembled examples. Unless the description says otherwise, miniatures are supplied unpainted and unassembled, and paints, glue and tools are sold separately.
- Many of our products contain small parts and sharp components and are not suitable for young children. Please check the age guidance on the packaging.
- Products marked Last Chance are discontinued or end-of-line items. Stock is limited and we may not be able to replace them once sold.
- Packaging may differ slightly from the images shown if the manufacturer has updated it.
4. Prices
- All prices are in pounds sterling (£). The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place your order.
- Where we show an RRP, it is the manufacturer’s recommended retail price, shown so you can compare it with our price.
- Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. UK delivery is free on orders over £60 (see our Shipping Policy).
- If we find an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before dispatching your order. You can then choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
5. Placing an order
- When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. This is not yet acceptance of your order.
- A contract between you and us is formed when we dispatch your order and email you to confirm it has been sent.
- We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch, for example if an item is out of stock, there is a pricing error, or we suspect fraud. If this happens, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
6. Payment
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link and Amazon Pay, and Klarna where offered at checkout.
- Payment is taken when you place your order. If you choose Klarna, Klarna’s own terms also apply to your payment.
- We never see or store your full card details.
7. Pre-orders
- Pre-order items are dispatched to arrive on or as close as possible to the manufacturer’s release date. Release dates are set by the manufacturer and can change.
- If an order contains both pre-order and in-stock items, the whole order is normally sent together when the pre-order item is released.
- You can cancel a pre-order at any time before it is dispatched for a full refund.
8. Delivery
- Delivery options, costs and dispatch times are set out in our Shipping Policy.
- Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. If we cannot deliver your order within 30 days, we will contact you and you may cancel for a full refund.
- Your order is our responsibility until it is delivered to you (or to someone you have nominated). Please tell us as soon as possible if anything arrives damaged, is missing or is incorrect.
9. Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it.
- To cancel, email info@grimdarkgames.co.uk with your order number before the 14 days are up.
- You then have a further 14 days to send the items back to us. Please do not send items back to the manufacturer.
- Unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong item, you pay the cost of returning it. We recommend a tracked service, as items remain your responsibility until they reach us.
- We will refund the price of the items and the original standard delivery charge within 14 days of receiving them back (or of you providing proof that you have sent them).
- Please take reasonable care of the items. We may reduce your refund if an item has been used, assembled, painted or damaged beyond what is needed to inspect it, as you would in a shop.
See our Returns & Refunds page for how to send items back.
10. Faulty or incorrect items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, contact us at info@grimdarkgames.co.uk with your order number and, if possible, photos. Within 30 days of delivery you are entitled to a full refund; after that, we will repair or replace the item, or refund you if that isn’t possible. We cover the reasonable cost of returning faulty or incorrect items.
Missing parts are often fastest to resolve through the manufacturer’s own replacement service, and we are happy to help you with this.

13. Our liability
- If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence.
- We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.
- We only supply products for domestic and private use. We are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
14. Your information
We use your personal information as described in our Privacy Statement.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are those shown on this page when you place it.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you have a problem with an order, please contact us first at info@grimdarkgames.co.uk and we will do our best to put it right.
